Jennifer LeBlanc, CEO and Founder, ThinkResults and Changing Tides

We recently had a chance to catch up with Jennifer LeBlanc, one of the many expat Albertans living in the San Francisco Bay Area, as part of our #AccessAlberta campaign and our profile of Albertans Around the World.

Jennifer left Alberta in 1984 when her parents reunited and her mom had taken a job at the City of Ottawa. She spent six years in Edmonton and missed the people and watching Wayne Gretzky practice at the West Edmonton Mall once she left.

She has move 37 times now all within Canada and the US and every place had attracted her with its own unique culture, special places and people. As Jennifer says, "Always find your tribe in the new place and look for the wonderful things about that community. It's always there and pining for past locations will leave you less open to amazing new experiences and connections. Eyes forward, heart open is my mantra when arriving in a new place".

She recently returned to Canada and bought a house on Salt Spring Island, so she could be close to/take care of her mom in Victoria. It's a great feeling for Jennifer to be back home, and she is looking forward to creating more connections between the rapidly growing Canadian innovation economy and leveraging her Silicon Valley network, particularly for female founders.

In addition to heading up ThinkResults Marketing, Jennifer also founded Changing Tides, a community for female founders and have authored two business books. She is currently looking to join the board of a company or two and would really love to have at least one Canadian company on that list!

So if you need a go-to-market expert on your board with over 20 years of Silicon Valley connections, connect Jennifer.
